Things to do

If you're making a longer trip of it, here are a few of our favourite ways to explore Österlen, Malmö and Copenhagen.

Österlen

The wedding countryside — rolling orchards, fishing villages and the slow pace of the south coast.

Coastal hiking

Walk the cliff trails at Stenshuvud National Park for views over the Baltic, or explore the dramatic rock formations at Hovs Hallar. In autumn the beech forests are pure gold.

Kivik Musteri

Sweden's apple heartland. Stop by Kivik Musteri for a cider tasting, freshly pressed apple juice, and the iconic red apple out front.

Local sights

Wander the harbour in Kivik, climb the ancient ship setting at Ales Stenar, and browse the galleries and cafés in pastel-painted Simrishamn.

Malmö

Sweden's third city — compact, green, and only an hour from the venue.

Parks & promenades

Stroll the long wooden boardwalk at Ribersborg, loop through Kungsparken and Pildammsparken, or cycle along the canals. The city is flat, green and very walkable.

Food hall & local eats

Start at Malmö Saluhall for local cheeses, seafood and street food, then wander the old town for craft bakeries, cosy cafés and a proper Swedish fika.

Local sights

Marvel at the twisted Turning Torso, visit Malmöhus Castle, explore the cobblestones of Lilla Torg, and take a fika break in the old town of Gamla Väster.

Copenhagen

A capital city full of colour, canals and excellent pastries, just across the bridge.

Walks by water & forest

Stretch your legs along Amager Strandpark's beach, wander through the deer park at Dyrehaven, or take a relaxed city stroll around the lakes and Nyhavn.

Design & museums

Visit the Design Museum Denmark, the Glyptotek or ARKEN for Nordic art and design, then browse the design shops along Bredgade and Strøget.

Local sights

Tivoli Gardens, Nyhavn, the Little Mermaid, the free-spirited neighbourhood of Christiania, and a canal tour. Finish with smørrebrød and a Danish pastry.
